South-South Cooperation in the Health Sector in Africa in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: The Case of Morocco – L. Bellalij
Abstract
In a global context marked by persistent health inequalities and recurring crises, African countries face the challenge of fragile healthcare systems. South-South cooperation emerges as an appropriate solution, grounded in the sharing of experiences, the strengthening of local capacities, and the reduction of external dependency.
In the age of artificial intelligence, this form of cooperation is undergoing a significant transformation through the integration of technological tools such as AI-assisted diagnostics, telemedicine, and remote training. However, it also raises important ethical and political concerns.
Morocco, a key player in this dynamic, combines African solidarity with technological innovation to support the continent’s health resilience.
